As Clinical Operations Manager you will be responsible for directly leading and developing a team of clinical research professionals, based in different European locations. You will ensure high quality, timely and within budget execution of multiple clinical studies (internally managed as well as investigator initiated). In this position, you will represent Zimmer Biomet in a positive, professional manner in all interactions with the orthopedic community, including internal and external customers. Your main responsibilities will be to: *Manage multiple complex clinical programs and budgets oOversee the development and finalization of all needed study documents and ensure high level of accuracy oSupport selection of study sites and finalization of study contracts oEnsure that studies are progressing according to plans, data are analyzed and reports generated oIn case of actual or potential issues, recommend and act upon appropriate mitigation plans *Manage clinical research staff: oPlan, coordinate and review work assignments oCoach staff and provide appropriate feedback oDevelop programs for training and growth of employees oCreate group objectives and manage to achieve them oDevelop and maintain a good team atmosphere *Be responsible for accurate tracking and reporting of study progress to Clinical Affairs Management *Deliver results and drive for continuous improvement by setting high performance expectations and by holding yourself and your team accountable for the results expected. Act with a sense of urgency. *Deliver persuasive presentations to all levels of employees, including senior management, and/or surgeons as necessary Your Qualifications and Experience: *Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent education in technical area (biomedical sciences or engineering, medical or biology, etc.) with a preference for an advanced degree (PhD, MD) *Minimum five years of clinical research experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience *Demonstrated leadership and sound business ethics *Extensive knowledge of orthopedics, clinical study design, protocol development, and statistical methodologies *Fluent in English (written and spoken) is a must, every additional language is an asset *Proven ability to negotiate and interact with orthopedic surgeons and their research/nursing staff *Possesses outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail *Sound knowledge of European regulatory requirements relating to clinical investigations *Encourages and supports information sharing and collaboration across departments
