Sales Leader ES Projects - Europe Role Summary: The Sales Leader ES Projects, Player/Coach manages a small team of direct reports and organizes the respective market for ES Projects business for in Italy, as well as developing projects and closing her/his own orders. The focus will be on EP/EP+ projects (and services around them) based on proprietary technology solutions portfolio, including UF, MBR, RO, EDR, EDI, ZLD, and others, in the designated area, markets and customers in Italy, achieving the sales targets through the year, showing consistent growth. Essential responsibilities: * Work closely with the regional Sales Director and Projects Director and implement actionable sales strategies for the Project business line. * Lead key deals selling with direct involvement as designated by the Sales Director. * Participate in the operating rhythms necessary to support operations and growth within the broader European region. * Cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of a customer, which includes applicable Partners, Industrials, Municipalities, Utilities, and EPCs. * Clear focus on building strategic accounts, executive level customer relationships and loyalty. * Serve as link between Sales and other commercial related functions like Proposal/bid management, Process Engineering, Service, Product Lines, Logistics etc. * Lead, coach, mentor, manage and develop the Projects Sales team in the sub-region to: o Achieve the given sales target consistently through the year; o Provide accurate sales forecast as demanded by the Organization; o Develop and execute growth strategies and action plans to the extent of his sales responsibilities and markets, in line with the company capabilities and expectations; o Prospect the market to develop opportunities and grow the pipeline in the assigned segments. o Understand customer's needs, qualify leads, and work closely with the Proposal department to provide competitive solutions for our customers and drive the sales cycle; o Support companies' new products launch campaigns and gather market information for companies' new developments; o Promote companies' solutions, including customer meetings, conferences and delivering papers; o Developing deep relationships with key partners in the sub-region for projects as well as for products sales; o Assist in the cash collection efforts; o Adhering to all internal procedures and tools related to risk review stages and bid preparation, forecasting; o Assisting Project Managers and Project Engineers in the preparation of biding/execution hand-over procedures; o Make ethics and integrity a main driver for their activities. o Continuously work on her/himself and the key team members individual development such as the succession planning. Qualifications/Requirements * Proven expertise in water and waste water treatment for the industries, with focus in Food& Beverages, Pulp&Paper, Power, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical and Municipal. * Deep understanding of the water market dynamics; bring an extended network of contacts in Industrial sites, Water Companies, Design institutes, Contractors, EPCs and Consultancies in the dedicated region. * Proven experience in coaching/managing sales teams as described above. * Bachelor's degree (Laurea) in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience; Masters or PhD degree or equivalent is a plus. * Strong influencing and team building skills and ability to work in a matrixed organization. * Comfortable and proficient executive communication skills, clear and concise communicator. * Fluency in Italian and English. * Strong personal culture around ethics and compliance. * Demonstrated leadership style showing capabilities to accelerate change, work in a rapidly changing environment and operate independently to deliver business results. * Driving a winning mentality and culture. * Financial tracking and financial acumen. * Ability to travel up to 60% of time.
